National Seniors Coalition partners The AMA Insurance Agency, Inc. (AMAIAI) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the American Medical Association, and was organized in March, 1988. It was established to assume the marketing and administrative responsibilities of the AMA-sponsored Members Insurance Program. The Agency is properly licensed to market insurance products in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia, and is licensed to function as a TPA (Third Party Administrator) in all states which require TPA filing. Staffing has grown from the initial 8 employees to a current complement of 150. Operationally, the Agency has added the claims adjudication function for the Hospital Indemnity, Medicare Supplement, and Catastrophic Major Medical plans to improve service to insureds. The total number of insureds and dependents currently administered are over 250,000. The Agency administers a full range of life and health products and services.
